About
My Story
My name is Brandon Lovingier, ChFC®, AFC®, MQFP® and I’m a virtual paraplanner serving fee-only financial planners. “Perpetual Improvement” is my personal mission statement. I aim to improve every person, organization, and project that I’m involved with.
I’m a soon-to-be retired Army veteran of over 20 years. I’ve developed a no-fail attitude toward completing tasks. I’m a people person by nature and love to help others!
I come from humble beginnings in rural LaPlata, Missouri and was terrible with money for years. After a “lightbulb moment” in a stinky tent in Afghanistan, I convinced my wife to become debt-free. That’s forever changed our lives for the better. I started helping my Soldiers learn about important concepts like compound interest and debt management. Eventually, I wanted to help others get educated and take control of their own finances.
Now, I work as a virtual paraplanner for fee-only financial planning firms. I earned the Chartered Financial Consultant, ChFC® designation in 2022. I’m one of the first to hold the new Military Qualified Financial Planner – MQFP® designation. I’ve completed the Certified Financial Planner CFP® coursework and plan to sit for the exam as I retire from the Army (2026). I earned the Accredited Financial Counselor – AFC® designation in 2025.
I was also awarded The American College of Financial Services NextGen Financial Professional Award in 2024.
I’m looking forward to working together to help people achieve their goals!
Other Interests
When I’m not building financial plans, I’m spending time with family, writing, and making cool stuff. I spend a lot of time on my blog, Enlisted Money, where I try to help the “18-year-old ‘me’ of today” by writing articles, making videos, and making other content for enlisted military members.
I like building LEGO with my son, going to concerts, riding my motorcycle, 3D printing, and creating new and exciting things.
